Hydraulic rock drill is a mechanical equipment with high impact force, which is currently widely used in multiple industries. What are its advantages? How should we use hydraulic rock drills?
1、 Fast rock drilling speed
Due to the use of high-pressure oil, which is dozens of times higher than the pressure of compressed air, hydraulic rock drills have higher functional parameters and energy transfer power than pneumatic rock drills. Their drilling speed can reach twice that of pneumatic rock drills of the same class.
2、 Low power consumption and high energy utilization efficiency
Hydraulic rock drills transmit pressure through high-pressure oil, with an energy utilization rate of over 40%, while pneumatic rock drills only require about 10%. The power consumption of hydraulic rock drills is only about one-third of that of pneumatic rock drills with the same function, and the power consumption is relatively low.
3、 High impact energy
Due to the high operating oil pressure used in hydraulic rock drills, the shape of the piston has been improved, greatly reducing the peak stress in the drill rod, which is beneficial for improving the lifespan of the drill rod. The same drill rod can transmit greater impact energy.
After understanding the major advantages of hydraulic rock drills, we also need to know the following precautions to remember when using hydraulic rock drills:
1. To operate according to technical requirements:
When disassembling and assembling hydraulic rock drills, it is necessary to use professional and conventional tools, and operate strictly according to technical requirements. Otherwise, during disassembly and assembly, it is easy to scratch the surface of the components or assemble them incorrectly, resulting in an imbalance between the ratio and the power of the hydraulic rock drill.
2. Tighten the connecting bolts:
When connecting the bolts of the hydraulic rock drill, it is necessary to use a torque wrench to tighten them strictly in the required sequence and torque. Otherwise, it is easy to loosen or fall off the connecting bolts. When placing the hydraulic rock drill thruster in the drilling position, it is not conducive to better drilling.
3. The disassembled sealing rings are no longer in use:
After dismantling, the sealing ring of the hydraulic rock drill reduces its sealing performance and shortens its service life. If reused, it is not conducive to good sealing effect and maintaining a high level of mechanical power. The sealing ring is cheap and easy to replace, so the dismantled sealing ring is no longer in use and should be replaced with a new sealing ring with a suitable specification and model.
4. Prevent secondary pollution of pollutants:
During transportation, it is necessary to prevent dirt from entering the machine. During the transportation of hydraulic rock drills, pay attention to the cleanliness of the machine interior to prevent water, air, dust, and other impurities from entering the body, ensuring that the interior of the rock drill is not contaminated, so that it can be immediately put into use after reinstallation.
